Delhi Social Welfare Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh has inaugurated the road strengthening project in Sector 20, Rohini, undertaken by the Public Works Department (PWD). He urged officials to complete the work on schedule while upholding high construction standards.
The initiative follows rising complaints from residents about broken internal roads, which have severely affected commuting, especially during the monsoon season.
Key Connectivity Improvements
As part of the project, damaged road stretches connecting several pockets in Sector 20 will be repaired:
Pocket 10 to Pocket D-4
Pocket 14 to Pocket C-1
Pocket 8 to Pocket 9
Pocket B to the park
Pocket 13 to Pocket 9
Pocket 5 to Pocket 6
Minister’s Commitments and Inspections
During the launch, Minister Indraj reaffirmed the Delhi government’s commitment to improving urban infrastructure and emphasised that better roads would ease mobility and improve the quality of life for residents.
He also conducted an on-site inspection with local citizens and directed officials from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to prioritise basic civic amenities such as:
3 Drainage and sewer cleaning
4 Waste disposal and sanitation
5 Park upkeep
6 Street lighting
7 Timely resolution of complaints from public hearings
Minister Indraj called for consistent follow-up on public grievances, ensuring that services related to roads and amenities are delivered efficiently and proactively.
