Seth directed NHAI officials to develop the space under the 31-meter elevated corridor as a recreational area. He proposed, "Children should have the opportunity to play here, and we can involve the Jharkhand Olympic Association to organize outdoor activities like volleyball and badminton, as well as board games such as carrom with facilities on both sides of the nets. This initiative can address the shortage of playgrounds in the city and promote physical activity among children."
NHAI officials reported that the 3.7 km elevated road connecting Ratu Road with Piska More is progressing well and is expected to meet its January 2025 deadline with 70% of the work already completed. The project, which commenced in 2021, is estimated to cost approximately Rs 291.10 crore, with a total expenditure including land acquisition amounting to Rs 558 crore, according to NHAI sources.
Seth also proposed ideas for enhancing the corridor's aesthetic appeal, suggesting that its pillars could feature local tribal Sohrai art and proposing the installation of hanging gardens. "Ensure there are openings in areas with dense population and adequate parking space," he added.
