The published data offers crucial insights on project length, implementation mode (BOT, HAM or EPC), total capital cost, approval status, land acquisition progress and the status of environmental, forest and railway clearances. This level of disclosure is intended to ensure a level playing field for all bidders, support stronger Public Private Partnerships and reduce disputes and litigation through clearer processes.
NHAI will update the information every two weeks, providing public access to approval and clearance details in real time. The initiative is expected to support realistic bidding, timely project awards and wider participation from contractors and developers by offering visibility into both upcoming opportunities and active bid invitations.
The regular updates will also enable data-driven monitoring, allowing industry stakeholders and investors to track project progress and assess the pace of National Highway development. The initiative strengthens public trust by showcasing the Government of India’s commitment to open governance and efficient infrastructure development.
By placing project information on a public platform, NHAI is reinforcing its focus on timely project execution and sustained National Highway growth. Through enhanced transparency and accountability, the authority continues to raise standards in India’s road infrastructure programme.
