Responding in writing to a question from South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said the 59-kilometre DND–Faridabad–Sohna link is being built in three construction packages, with the last two already completed and opened to traffic.
“Project package-1 from DND Junction to Jaitpur, covering 9 kilometres, is in an advanced stage with 94.23 per cent physical progress and is scheduled for completion by June 2026. The delay is due to the late approval of general arrangement drawings from the Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department for the Agra Canal crossing,” Gadkari said.
He added that a total of Rs 717.18 billion has been spent so far on the entire Delhi–Mumbai Expressway project.
