Infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Monday said it has secured a “significant” order for the Hyderabad Greenfield Radial Road project, strengthening its presence in urban road infrastructure.

The contract has been awarded to L&T’s transportation infrastructure business for Phase-2 of the project in Telangana’s Ranga Reddy district. Under the company’s classification, a “significant” order represents a contract value ranging between Rs 10 billion and Rs 25 billion.

The scope of work includes the construction of a 22.3-km, six-lane (3+3) access-controlled radial road aimed at improving connectivity in the region. The project holds strategic importance as it will serve as the first radial connector linking Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road with the proposed 340-km Regional Ring Road, thereby enhancing regional and inter-city connectivity.

The project is expected to improve access to major growth hubs, including IT corridors and the electronic city, supporting economic development across the Ranga Reddy district.

As part of the contract, L&T will also construct a 3.6-km-long viaduct, along with minor bridges, underpasses and culverts. The scope further includes service roads on both sides, extensive retaining structures, stormwater drainage systems, footpaths, cycle tracks and landscaping works.

Larsen & Toubro operates across engineering, procurement and construction, hi-tech manufacturing and services, with projects spanning multiple geographies.
