The meeting was held in the presence of Mohan Yadav and attended by senior leaders and officials from the central and state governments. Those present included Bhupender Yadav, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Ajay Tamta, Harsh Malhotra, Narendra Singh Tomar and Madhya Pradesh PWD Minister Rakesh Singh, along with senior administrative officials.
Officials conducted a comprehensive review of implementation progress, inter-agency coordination and execution timelines across the 45 national highway projects, which together represent one of the largest road infrastructure development programmes currently underway in the state.
A key highlight of the meeting was a positive discussion on the alignment of the proposed six-lane, access-controlled greenfield expressway known as the Atal Progress-Way, or Chambal Expressway. The project is envisaged as a strategic corridor to enhance regional connectivity and enable faster movement of passengers and freight.
The review underscored the government’s continued focus on strengthening highway infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh through large-scale investment, modern road standards and close coordination between central and state agencies to ensure timely project delivery.
