Dhesi instructed officials to prioritise road repair complaints received through the Mhari Sadak mobile application and ensure timely and satisfactory resolution. He also called for action against illegal ready mix concrete (RMC) plants and asked agencies to expedite land acquisition for key infrastructure projects.
Officials informed the meeting that the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority had resolved 163 of the 783 complaints received on the app, with 617 currently under process. The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram had addressed 219 of 910 complaints, while work on 613 was underway. The Public Works Department (Buildings and Roads) reported that 126 of 155 complaints had been resolved.
On pollution control, MCG officials said interim measures were being implemented in line with the directives of the Commission for Air Quality Management. These include the deployment of mechanical sweeping machines on master sector roads, removal of construction and demolition waste, and water sprinkling to suppress dust.
The meeting also reviewed progress on rainwater harvesting structures. MCG officials said tenders had been issued for the construction of 100 rainwater harvesting systems, with 20 additional systems proposed. Dhesi directed that all such structures be made functional before the onset of the monsoon.
Land acquisition for road connectivity, master roads and metro expansion projects was also discussed. Officials said the committee constituted under the Land Acquisition Act, 2013, had been directed to submit details expeditiously. Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran administrator and committee chairperson Vaishali Singh said the land identification process was underway and would be forwarded to the GMDA by 31 January. She added that the land required for the proposed metro depot near the marble market has already been approved.
During the meeting, Dhesi said 90 RMC plants were found operating without the required permits and show-cause notices had been issued. He directed officials to conduct regular monitoring to curb illegal operations.
