Package One includes 12.4 kilometres of service roads on both sides, two interchanges and one railway overbridge, together with 10 minor bridges and 142 culverts. The scope also provides one wayside amenity, seven elevated underpasses and eight ancillary structures comprising vehicular underpass (VUP), light vehicle underpass (LVUP) and service vehicle underpass (SVUP) elements.
Package Two provides seven point two kilometres of service roads on both sides, three interchanges, 11 minor bridges and 90 culverts, along with one wayside amenity, three elevated underpasses and multiple VUP, LVUP and SVUP structures. Package Three includes 10 kilometres of service and slip roads on both sides, one interchange, 23 minor bridges and 69 culverts, together with one wayside amenity, two elevated underpasses and a mix of VUP, LVUP and SVUP facilities.
On completion the ring road is expected to ease congestion in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Khordha, further enhance regional connectivity and lower logistics costs while supporting long term urban and regional expansion. The project is anticipated to stimulate economic activity, create thousands of employment opportunities, improve road safety and reduce travel time, and it is expected to promote more environmentally sustainable transportation.
