The Inchhapuri bridge is intended to span the rail corridor and remove an existing bottleneck that has constrained vehicular movement in the area. The highway upgrade between Gurugram and Rewari is expected to improve travel times and support both passenger and freight traffic along the corridor. Project timelines will depend on site mobilisation, supply of materials and completion of ancillary works. Contractors will prepare traffic management plans to limit disruption during construction.
Authorities reported that safety certifications, signalling interface checks and protection of rail assets are central to the implementation plan and will be completed before heavy works commence over the tracks. Land and utility clearances remain a parallel task and are being coordinated with municipal and state agencies. Environmental safeguards will be observed in accordance with statutory requirements and measures for stormwater and dust control will be implemented during the construction phase. Regular inspections by joint teams are expected to keep the project on schedule.
Once finished, the bridge and highway works are projected to strengthen regional connectivity and ease congestion on arterial routes, thereby supporting economic activity in the surrounding districts. NHAI will monitor progress against the July end target and stakeholders will receive periodic updates on milestones and traffic changes as the work advances.
