The City Square scheme includes a tower rising to 175 metres, equivalent to a building of more than 50 floors, which will rank among the tallest structures in Ahmedabad. The tower will incorporate an observation gallery and a glass skywalk at the summit to provide panoramic city views and an immersive walk on glass experience. Dining facilities are planned in a two-storey restaurant at about 40 metres with seating for 900 people and a terrace café accommodating 200 visitors.
The ground level will be developed as a public plaza with food kiosks, landscaped gardens and a central water fountain to encourage leisure and social activity. The development includes a three-level basement parking facility designed to accommodate around 410 cars and 1,465 two-wheelers, and an amphitheatre with seating for about 450 people to host cultural events. The plan aims to integrate leisure, dining and entertainment within a compact urban footprint to support sustained visitor numbers.
The invitation for tenders marks a key milestone in a project that city planners expect to influence the surrounding urban fabric and local commerce. Contractors bidding for the work will be required to meet municipal standards and deliver the complex infrastructure elements that the design envisages. The municipal corporation will assess submissions to select a contractor capable of completing the project to match the planned scale and public amenity objectives.
