He further directed advance monsoon preparedness measures across all highway stretches and stressed the importance of effective drainage management, slope protection measures and swift response mechanisms to minimise disruptions during the monsoon season and to ensure commuter safety. The minister instructed concerned agencies to remain vigilant and to ensure uninterrupted traffic movement by proactively addressing waterlogging, erosion and other weather related challenges, and to coordinate emergency responses where needed.
