He participated in the Brahmotsavalu at the Sri Sita Rama Temple in his native village of Thimmapur and addressed the gathering on infrastructure priorities. The Centre has proposed three high-speed rail corridors connecting Hyderabad with Mumbai/Goa, Bengaluru and Chennai, and survey work is progressing with detailed project reports to be prepared soon. The estimated project cost could rise from Rs five trillion (Rs 5 tn) to nearly Rs 10 trillion (Rs 10 tn), including land acquisition expenses.
The minister reported that land acquisition for the northern stretch of the Regional Ring Road is progressing swiftly and that the Centre plans to complete the project at an estimated cost of Rs 200 billion (Rs 200 bn) to Rs 250 billion (Rs 250 bn), further strengthening connectivity around Hyderabad. He noted that the Centre is undertaking major road connectivity projects worth Rs 870 million (Rs 870 mn) covering Thimmapur and several other areas in Kandukur mandal. These projects are being funded by the Union government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and are intended to improve transportation links and accelerate development.
Officials indicated targeted investments include local road upgrades and auxiliary works to support broader corridor development and to facilitate access to markets and services. The minister emphasised continued coordination between central and state agencies to ensure timely execution and to address land acquisition and implementation challenges. Local stakeholders were urged to support progress while authorities monitor delivery and outcomes.
