NHPC Limited, a government Navratna enterprise, has invited online electronic bids on behalf of Bundelkhand Saur Urja Limited (BSUL) for a major transmission infrastructure project in Uttar Pradesh. The tender seeks eligible contractors under a Domestic Competitive Bidding single-stage, two-part process. The work covers construction of an approximately 80-kilometre 400 kV transmission line to evacuate electricity from a proposed 1,200 megawatt (MW) solar power park in Jalaun district. The project cost has been fixed at Rs 2.5922 bn including GST.

The tender schedule indicates that bidding documents were made available for viewing and download from June 23. Interested bidders may submit queries and seek clarifications up to July 1, and a pre-bid conference is scheduled for July 6 at NHPC's office complex in Faridabad, with provision for online participation if required. NHPC has set a completion period of 24 months from the date of commencement for the selected contractor.

Online submission of bids will open on July 12 and close on July 20, with tender documents also available for download until the close date. Bidders are required to submit supporting physical documents, including the tender fee and bid security, to NHPC’s Contract (E&M)-II Division in Faridabad by July 21. Technical bids are scheduled to be opened on July 22, while the date for opening financial bids will be announced later by the authority.

The tender document specifies a non-refundable fee of Rs 10,000 and an earnest money deposit of Rs 26 mn. NHPC has outlined additional performance bank guarantee requirements for subsidiary companies that qualify on the basis of the financial or technical strength of their parent companies. Financial eligibility criteria include an average annual turnover of at least Rs 1.373 bn during the last two consecutive financial years and minimum working capital of Rs 216 mn. All submissions will be processed through the Central Public Procurement Portal to ensure transparency and competitive participation.
