During the review meeting Sona assessed project wise progress, identified bottlenecks delaying implementation and instructed officials to resolve pending issues within stipulated timelines and expedite approvals. He directed departments to streamline approvals and payments and to ensure supply chains remain uninterrupted in difficult terrain and ensure financial flows. Officials were asked to improve coordination with local authorities and communities to facilitate timely mobilisation of resources and labour.
Sona emphasised that field engineers and implementing agencies must work in close coordination to accelerate project execution and to maintain construction quality and employ appropriate technology. He underlined the importance of transparent reporting, timely resolution of technical issues and adherence to environmental and safety norms during construction. Improved roads are expected to enhance access to education, healthcare and markets and to drive socio economic development in remote areas and support local enterprise development.
The Vibrant Villages Programme of the Centre seeks to strengthen infrastructure and improve living conditions in villages along India's international borders, with a focus on connectivity and sustainable development. The minister said the state will prioritise projects that unlock economic opportunities and address critical connectivity gaps in border and interior habitations and strengthen community engagement. Officials were reminded that efficient implementation and transparent processes are essential to ensure that infrastructure benefits reach intended beneficiaries without unnecessary delay and avoid cost overruns.
