Information Technology and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu inspected the Bahadurpally–Kompally road widening project at Dulapally and directed officials to complete the works within stipulated timelines. The minister reviewed progress and ordered urgent measures to expedite pending tasks and remove bottlenecks affecting delivery. The inspection was presented as part of ongoing oversight of urban transport infrastructure in the Hyderabad area. The minister stressed the importance of meeting the timeline to improve traffic flow and support planned urban development.

He instructed the authorities to complete the shifting of electrical poles along the forest stretch by August 15 and to finalise the road widening works by September 30. The minister also urged accelerated land acquisition in Dulapally and Bahadurpally to prevent further delays. Officials were told to coordinate across departments to resolve rights of way and utility relocation promptly. Departmental controllers were instructed to publish updated schedules and to expedite clearances where statutory requirements had been fulfilled.

He asked the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) to submit detailed proposals for stormwater drains to the City Municipal Corporation (CMC) for examination and necessary action. The request was framed to ensure adequate drainage provision along the corridor and to reduce the risk of waterlogging once the carriageway is expanded. Technical teams were directed to align drain designs with road levels and environmental safeguards. Survey teams were to be deployed to assess areas requiring additional mitigation measures before heavy works commence.

Authorities were instructed to provide regular status reports and to set milestones for contractors to meet the deadline. The minister emphasised adherence to environmental clearances and the need for minimal disruption to local communities during construction. Continued monitoring was ordered to ensure timely completion and to mitigate any operational or logistical impediments. The administration indicated that adherence to the schedule would be reviewed at successive checkpoints.
