The corridor will run from Vivekananda School in Dhurwa to the Ring Road via Nayasarai and will connect major civic landmarks including the Jharkhand High Court, the Vidhan Sabha and the CRPF camp. The tender process was completed roughly two months before the contract award and the authority is overseeing the initial phase of work. Engineers have laid out plans for a divided carriageway to accommodate varied traffic flows.
Design plans provide a six-lane main carriageway intended for high-speed and VIP vehicles, flanked by two-lane service roads on each side for smaller private vehicles to create the 10-lane configuration. The road is described as a smart road in project documents, with details of the smart systems to be implemented to be released by authorities at a later date. The company has been contracted to deliver civil works in accordance with the authority’s specifications.
Officials have prioritised connectivity to judicial, legislative and security installations to ease movement and to support urban traffic management as the city expands. The project is among a series of infrastructure initiatives in Ranchi aimed at upgrading arterial routes and enhancing regional mobility.
