The contract covers implementation of a Resettlement Action Plan for the improvement and widening of NH-208 in Tripura. The work involves upgrading the road to two lanes with paved shoulders between km 101.300 at Khowai and km 236.213 at Harina, covering a total length of 134.913 km.
The project will be executed on an Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis under the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Official Development Assistance (ODA) loan programme. The filing identifies National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation as the target entity associated with the contract.
The company classified the transaction as domestic and stated that the order was awarded by a domestic entity. It also said the contract does not fall within related party transactions and that the promoter and promoter group companies have no interest in the work contract.
The work is subject to the necessary approvals from government authorities. According to the work order, commencement is immediate, while the estimated completion timeline will follow the terms of the contract. Consideration for the project will be paid in cash, and no shareholding or control is being acquired through the transaction.
