Ceigall India has received a completion certificate for its Delhi-Saharanpur Highway Project in Uttar Pradesh, formally marking the completion of all works on the Rs. 16.6 bn development. The certificate was issued by the Authority’s Engineer and dated 12 October 2026, following the company’s announcement on 13 October.

The project covers a 16.85 km, six-lane, access-controlled section of National Highway (NH) 709B. The stretch runs from the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh border to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) Junction, and was executed by Ceigall India in association with Gayatri Projects.

The highway forms part of an economic corridor under Phase I of the Bharatmala Pariyojana, a Government of India programme focused on improving road connectivity. The completed section was declared fit for operation on 12 September 2024.

Ceigall India will also undertake the operation and maintenance of the highway at an initial cost of Rs. 28.8 mn per annum, subject to additional escalation. The project was awarded on 16 April 2022, with an initial scheduled completion date of 7 November 2023. The deadline was subsequently extended to 15 August 2024.

The company’s chairman and managing director, Ramneek Sehgal, described the completion certificate as an important milestone. He said access-controlled corridors support regional connectivity and enable faster movement of goods into the National Capital Region.
