The company said the new contracts take its orders secured during FY27 to Rs. 194.38 bn. The projects were awarded by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) and the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC), respectively.
UPEIDA has awarded Afcons a contract valued at approximately Rs. 20.86 bn, excluding goods and services tax, for constructing the 24.5-km access-controlled Jewar Link Expressway. The greenfield project will feature six lanes, with provision for expansion to eight lanes, and will connect Noida International Airport at Jewar with the wider expressway network.
The corridor is designed to link the Yamuna Expressway and Ganga Expressway, improving access to the airport and supporting passenger and freight movement across western and central Uttar Pradesh. Afcons said the project is expected to reduce travel times, improve logistics efficiency and contribute to regional economic development.
The second contract, valued at approximately Rs. 13.83 bn, covers the design and construction of a 6.52-km underground section of Lucknow Metro Phase-1B. Its scope includes seven underground metro stations, civil and architectural works, utility systems, fire safety infrastructure and connections between underground and elevated sections.
The awards add to Afcons’ order book in the transport infrastructure sector, spanning roads, expressways and urban rail systems. The company did not provide a separate construction timeline for either contract in its announcement. The projects are part of ongoing efforts to expand road and public transport connectivity in Uttar Pradesh, including links to major airports and urban centres.
